As Pacsun embarks on a new chapter with Brie Olson taking the helm as the sole CEO, effective June 15, 2023, industry experts are optimistic about the future outlook of the popular teen apparel retailer.
Olson's appointment follows the retirement of co-CEO Mike Relich, who will continue to serve on the Pacsun Board of Directors as Vice Chairman. With over two decades of experience in the retail industry, including 17 years at Pacsun, Olson has proven her ability to drive innovation and growth within the company.
As President since 2021, she has been instrumental in introducing Pacsun's first gender-neutral collection, Colour Theory, and leading the company's entry into the kids' category with Pacsun Kids. Olson's leadership has also extended to the company's AI and metaverse initiatives, including activations on Roblox.
Olson's strong relationships with designers and other Pacsun partners, combined with her keen sense of style, are expected to be significant assets for the company as she steps into her new leadership role.
