Nordstrom has announced the departure of Farrell Redwine from her role as Chief Human Resources Officer. Redwine, who joined the executive team in July 2021, concluded her tenure with the company in October 2023. Redwine significantly contributed to the company's human resources initiatives during her time at Nordstrom.
She oversaw a team supporting more than 55,000 employees across Nordstrom's stores, fulfillment and distribution centers, and corporate offices. Her responsibilities encompassed various aspects of
human resources, including recruitment, succession planning, learning and development, employee recognition and retention, diversity initiatives, and total rewards programs. Redwine's career at Nordstrom began in 2016, and she held several leadership positions before ascending to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer.
Before her time at Nordstrom, she accumulated extensive experience in global HR leadership roles at major corporations such as ExxonMobil and Time Inc. During her tenure, Redwine was recognized for her contributions to corporate leadership and diversity.
In 2019, she was named one of the "Most Influential Women in Corporate America" by Savoy magazine, a prestigious acknowledgment of African American business leaders and executives.
