Nordstrom to debut exclusive collaboration with contemporary artist Cristina Martinez. The collaboration aims to celebrate the convergence of art and style, with the first release of the Nordstrom by Cristina Martinez collection launching on September 27, in honor of Latinx Heritage Month.
This partnership highlights Nordstrom 's commitment to amplifying the voices and works of artists like Martinez, who is known for her thought-provoking self-portraits and boundless abstract pieces. Martinez is best known for
her art pieces for adults, kids, baby and home, amplifying and celebrating the often untold stories by Black and Brown people. Cristina Martinez , originally from Tacoma, Washington, and now based in Seattle, began her artistic journey in fashion illustration.
However, she soon found herself drawn to more expansive forms of self-expression and self-exploration through painting. Her artwork tells the stories of Black and Brown people, capturing their beauty and resilience.
