Anomaly launched in 2021 as a partnership between Maesa and Priyanka Chopra Jonas , quickly carving out an international presence with its clean, vegan, and high-performance haircare line. The brand exited U.S. retail at the end of 2025 to sharpen its focus on international markets, particularly India , where it had
already gained strong consumer traction. The sale to Reliance Retail, one of the world's leading retailers, includes the transfer of Anomaly 's trademarks, brand assets, and digital properties. For Maesa , the transaction is a deliberate strategic shift — the company is refocusing on brands anchored in the U.S.
market across categories like hair care, fragrance, and skin care.
