Leading Black-owned multimedia platform REVOLT partnered with retail giant Target to co-create a groundbreaking series called "Bet on Black." The show aims to support and empower Black entrepreneurs by providing them with the resources, guidance, and capital they need to build successful businesses that can revolutionize industries and make a significant impact on the world.
"Bet on Black" is a pitch show where Black entrepreneurs present their innovative business ideas to a panel of expert judges and celebrity
guests, including T-Pain, Zerina Akers, DJ Envy, Keenan Beasley, Melanie Gatewood-Hall, and Pernell Cezar. The series offers a unique opportunity for participants to secure a grand prize of $200,000 in funding without Target seeking any stake or equity in their businesses.
In total, Target will provide $500,000 in secured funding to the participants, along with one-on-one meetings with a Target executive for the four finalists. The show debuted on REVOLT 's digital platforms on January 10, 2022, at 9 p.m. EST, followed by its TV premiere on January 11, 2022, at 9 p.m. EST.
