Acne Studios, a multidisciplinary luxury fashion house based in Stockholm, Sweden, has recently opened its first store in Miami, Florida. This marks the brand's debut in the Southern United States. Acne Studios specializes in men's and women's ready-to-wear fashion, footwear, accessories, and denim.
The brand was founded in 1996 as part of the creative collective ACNE, which focused on graphic design, film, production, and advertising. The name "ACNE" originally stood for "Associated Computer Nerd Enterprises,"
but was later changed to "Ambition to Create Novel Expressions." The new store is located in Miami's Design District, an area known for its focus on fashion, arts, and design. Designed by Swedish design studio Halleroed, the two-story store features a fusion of classic and contemporary glamorous design styles.
The interior boasts sleek elements such as a polished aluminum modular system, neutral-hued textured marmorino walls, black granite steps, and custom-made rugs by Katshall, all within an open floor plan.
Adding to the store's unique atmosphere are movement-focused curved light fixtures that first appeared in Acne Studios' Paris flagship store. The space also showcases lime-green and black mannequins by artist Daniel Silver and salmon-colored blob-shaped furniture by Max Lamb.
