The streets of Paris recently witnessed a unique and eye-catching spectacle, as giant Jacquemus handbags appeared to be cruising down the roads. The renowned Parisian fashion label, led by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, is known for its innovative marketing strategies and ability to create buzz in the industry.
This time, they shared a delightful Instagram video on April 5th, showcasing oversized versions of their popular Le Bambino bag on wheels, navigating through the bustling streets of Paris alongside cars
and other traffic. The video featured Jacquemus-branded trolleys with passengers inside, and even had the words "Bambino" and "Jacquemus" painted in yellow along the road. The caption read, "I THINK I LIKE PARIS NOW," and despite the realistic appearance of the clip, it was actually a 3D-generated rendering.
Unfortunately, this means that fans won't be able to catch a ride on the Jacquemus express anytime soon. This creative marketing stunt comes on the heels of the brand's recent immersive pop-up shop at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, which ran through April 2nd.
The exhibit featured enormous bucket hats, toasters with Jacquemus-branded toast, and a larger-than-life Le Bambino bag without wheels. The walk-through also included branded washing machines and large towers of clean white towels.
Jacquemus is best known for its tiny purses, particularly the Le Chiquito, which has been sported by celebrities like Dua Lipa, Rihanna, and Hailey Bieber.
