Alta , the New York-based startup founded by Jenny Wang has raised $11 million to expand its AI-powered personal styling and shopping platform.
The funding round, led by Menlo Ventures , attracted a star-studded roster of backers that includes Aglaé Ventures (supported by the Arnaults of LVMH), Benchstrength , Conviction , Phenomenal Ventures , high-profile AI investors, and celebrity stylists such as Meredith Koop .

Users can upload their closets by photographing existing items, forwarding digital receipts, or searching Alta’s growing fashion database. With a customizable virtual avatar, shoppers can try on and mix potential purchases with what they already own—blurring the line between physical and digital fashion.
