ThredUp is facing a proposed class action alleging that the resale platform failed to disclose a mandatory handling fee in the advertised price of items sold on its website.
Plaintiff Sonja Mobley filed the case in California federal court, arguing that shoppers only saw the added charge at checkout, making price comparisons harder during the buying process. The Core Claim The complaint centers on ThredUp’s combined “shipping and handling” charge.
