The new 70 square meter location sits at Storchengasse 23, 8001 Zürich , in the historic Old Town, positioning the brand at the crossroads of tourism, local life, and heritage architecture. A Swiss Flagship Rooted in Place The new BIRKENSTOCK store is designed to feel like a walk through the Swiss
landscape rather than a conventional shoe shop. The front area is conceived as an open, nature evoking space that reflects the country’s diverse outdoors, while the back of the store shifts into a more intimate, interior focused zone, mirroring a transition from outside to inside. Materials play a central role in the concept.
The interior combines end grain wood tiles , pinewood displays built around a large untreated rock, and darkened wooden logs inspired by traditional Swiss vernacular building methods.
