Sephora Canada has recently announced its commitment to dedicate 25% of its brand offering to BIPOC-owned brands by 2026. This ambitious goal is part of the company's localized Fifteen Percent Pledge, which aims to ensure greater representation within the prestige beauty brand offering that reflects Canada's rich diversity.
As of now, Sephora Canada's brand offering includes 12% BIPOC -owned brands, with a short-term goal of reaching 15% in 2022. The company has an ongoing action plan in place for increasing
BIPOC representation in its brands, such as supporting BIPOC-owned brands in achieving Canadian compliancy and aiding Sephora 's newest Accelerate brands with the resources and information they need to expand beyond the United States.
Jane Nugent, Sephora Canada 's Senior Vice President of Merchandising, expressed pride in solidifying the goal of reaching 25% BIPOC-owned brands by 2026.
