Aminah Abdul Jillil, a talented luxury shoe designer, was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and began her career as a professional dancer in Los Angeles. She performed with some of the biggest names in music, including Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.
Aminah's unique designs are characterized by their bold yet feminine aesthetic, which has garnered global recognition since the brand's launch in August 2012. In March 2021, Aminah Abdul Jillil joined forces with Macy's to unveil a limited-edition collection as part of
the "Icons of Style" campaign. This initiative showcased the work of five prominent Black creatives, including Allen Onyia, Ouigi Theodore, Zerina Akers, Misa Hylton, and Aminah herself.
Each of these talented individuals created a limited-run collection with one of Macy's private labels, further solidifying their status as icons in the fashion industry.
