Delvaux has launched “Craft Beyond Borders” in Japan , a new chapter in its craftsmanship story that stages a quiet, cross cultural dialogue between Belgian leather artisans and Japanese master craftspeople.
The project turns Japan into the first stop in an ongoing series of collaborations where Delvaux’s savoir faire meets local traditions to reimagine the Maison’s icons through another culture’s lens. Season 1 begins in Japan , with Delvaux presenting the project as “a dialogue between masters” rather than a one way takeover, emphasizing reciprocity and mutual respect between Belgian and Japanese know how.
According to Delvaux, the aim is to explore how different craft cultures can interact to create new forms, surfaces and details while staying faithful to the Maison’s heritage in fine leather goods.
