Dior has officially opened the House of Dior Shinsaibashi in Osaka , a four floor flagship that fuses a couture inspired façade by Sou Fujimoto , luminous interiors by Peter Marino , contemporary art and a Monsieur Dior restaurant led by Michelin starred chef Anne Sophie Pic .
The new Maison, which welcomed its first guests on 21 May 2026 , cements Dior’s long standing dialogue with Japan while showcasing the first collections by creative director Jonathan Anderson in a fully immersive setting.
Architecture: a draped landmark in Shinsaibashi Located at 1 9 17 Shinsaibashisuji, Chūō ku, Osaka , on the main Shinsaibashi suji shopping artery, the House of Dior occupies a stand alone building designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto .
The façade is a striking, undulating composition of layered, translucent panels that evoke the fluid drape of Christian Dior’s haute couture dresses , turning the structure into a kind of sculpted fabric frozen in motion.
Inside, the four story interior architecture has been conceived by Peter Marino , whose design opens with double height volumes and then unfolds as a series of luminous salons.
Natural light, mirrored surfaces and carefully curated materials guide visitors upwards, echoing the “kingdom of dreams” concept that positions the store as far more than a traditional boutique…
