H&M designed custom looks for actor Laura Harrier and designer Victor Glemaud for the 2022 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit.
The looks, designed by H&M's in-house design team, are inspired by this year's exhibition theme, "In America: An Anthology of Fashion", which explores the sartorial narratives that chart the evolution of American style paying homage to America's Gilded Age – the 19 th to mid-late 20 th century.

We were influenced by the Gilded Age while designing these two custom looks, really drawing on styles in the United States from the 19 th and 20 th centuries. Both designs have very dramatic and glamorous details, really highlighting the opulence of the Gilded Age," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

The dress is a corseted gown that accentuates the waist, creating the hourglass figure that was representative of the era.
