Louis Vuitton, has expanded its horizons by opening its very first restaurant in the world, Le Café V. Located in the brand's four-story maison in Osaka, Japan, this milestone was achieved on February 1st, 2020.
The café is a part of the LV DREAM exhibition, which invites visitors to explore the rich history of Louis Vuitton's collaborations through time and across a broad range of historic and contemporary pieces. The brand's symbols, the LV monogram and the four-petal flower ornament, represent the name of the
brand and symbolize joy, respectively. Designed by Georges-Louis Vuitton in 1896, these symbols have become synonymous with luxury and elegance. With a net worth of $422.5 billion as of March 13, 2023, Louis Vuitton continues to be a dominant force in the luxury market.
Le Café V is situated atop the Louis Vuitton Maison in Osaka, offering an exclusive and elegant dining experience for its patrons. In partnership with renowned chef Kosuke Suga, the café also houses a secret entrance to chef Suga's Sugalabo V restaurant, adding an air of mystery and allure to the establishment.
Although Louis Vuitton is no longer family-owned, it is now part of the LVMH luxury group, owned by the Arnault family. This group generated over €79 billion ($83 billion) in revenue in 2022, with a vast luxury empire spanning multiple segments.
