The worlds of Paris and New York collide as Marc Jacobs and A.P.C. unveil a Fall 2025 capsule collection rooted in collegiate nostalgia, layered fabrics, and the enduring friendship between Marc Jacobs and Jean Touitou .
Celebrating their shared 1980s heritage and a natural creative connection, the capsule champions precision, playful detail, and the varsity jacket as its centerpiece. Varsity Spirit, Transatlantic Flair Reimagining classic campus codes, the collection stars a varsity jacket in wool and cowhide,
complete with Marc Jacobs and A.P.C. embroidery on the heart, MJ patches , and dual-branded crests , one of the most sought-after drops of the season. Loose fitting, with a soft high collar and leather sleeves highlighted by dark red stripes, it’s both a nod to Ivy League culture and Parisian street style.
From “The Jean” to “Carte Orange”—Layered Storytelling Beyond the varsity jacket, the capsule reinterprets archival style with denim jeans (‘THE JEAN’), miniskirts, and a slightly baggy striped shirt (‘THE SHIRT’), layered with amazing detailing, dual branding, and playful cultural references from both sides of the Atlantic.
A white crewneck t-shirt features prints of Jacobs’ 1980s Paris ‘Carte Orange’ metro pass and Touitou’s Sorbonne student card, connecting the brands’ roots literally and metaphorically.
Accessories complete the story: Marc Jacobs’ signature Tote bag, the collector’s Demi-Lune, penny loafers, and hats appear throughout, sporting clever nods to campus, travel, and childhood memory…
