Panera Bread has launched its Croissant Clutch, a $39 limited-edition accessory blending runway-inspired design with functional insulation for its new Croissant Toast Sandwiches.
The clutch, available from April 30, 2025, at shop.panerabread.com , follows the viral success of its 2023 Baguette Bag and the brand’s strategy to fuse food with pop culture. detachable chain strap, and insulated lining to keep sandwiches warm. Each purchase includes a $15 Panera gift card, incentivizing repeat visits to its 2,223 U.S. and Canadian cafes.
The clutch celebrates Panera’s Croissant Toast Sandwiches, which debuted earlier in April 2025 as top-selling items: Croque Monsieur Croissant Toast : Ham, provolone, asiago, and caramelized onion-gruyère spread. Fromage Croissant Toast: Provolone, American cheese, arugula, and garlic aioli.
Both sandwiches use sliced croissant dough as bread-a first for the fast-casual chain.
Chief Marketing Officer Mark Shambura emphasized: "the clutch reflects Panera’s “playful” approach to connecting with guests beyond meals." The move taps into 2025’s croissant-shaped accessory trend while reinforcing Panera’s position in the $124 billion U.S. fast-casual sector.
