Amazon Business officially announced it is bringing its procurement services to Mexico, making it the 10th country where Amazon Business is available. This follows availability in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Japan, Germany, France, Italy, India, and Spain.
Mexico represents a significant growth opportunity for Amazon, with over 5 million small and medium-sized businesses that could benefit from Amazon Business's procurement tools and expertise. Mexico is one of Amazon's fastest growing international markets. "We are
excited to allow businesses in Mexico to simplify their supply process so that they can focus on what is most important to them.
We are also committed to the growth of small businesses by allowing sellers - through our B2B store - to expand and grow by selling directly to large companies," said Pedro Huerta, Country Manager Amazon Mexico . Amazon first entered the Mexico retail market in 2015 with the launch of Amazon.com.mx.
Since then, the company has continued expanding, now operating about 40 warehouses across Mexico and employing over 8,000 people directly.
These sellers also benefit from Amazon's e-commerce experience, gaining visibility of their full product catalog in an established online store and with greater access to business customer decision makers to help increase sales…
